मेराे नीँद चाेरी साेध्छे (गजल)

मेरो नीँद चेरी सोध्छ,े सुत्यौ अब ?
अँगालोमा हुन्थ्यौ निँद, लाग्थ्यो तब

याद गर्नु जिन्दगीमा, दुःख पर्दा
मेरो जस्तै मन दुख्ला, तिम्रो जब

‘बिर्सी सबै सुखी होउ’, भन्छे जैले
तिम्लाई भुली खुशी म, हुन्छु कब

यादहरु, गरेका ती,  बातहरुहरु
अनि मात्र रमाउँला, लगे सब

(English Translation)

She took away my sleep and asks me, "did you sleep?"

"Hug me and I will sleep", I reply

"Think of me when you suffer in your life, when you are hurt just like me.", I add.

"Forget everything and stay happy", says she.

"How can I be happy if I forget the reason of my smile" I tell her.

" Only if you take with you all the memories and the talks we talked, will I be able to be happy again". I add.
