बाम्बी साल्सेडो मेक्सिकोमा जन्मिए । उनी जन्मीनु पूर्व नै उनका आमाबाबु छुट्टिए । उनी बीन र तोर्तिया (मेक्सीकन खाना) खाएरै हुर्किए । मिठो मसिनोको लागी उनको परिवारसँग मनग्गे पैसा हुँदैनथ्यो । उनकी आमाले परिवार धान्न निकै मिहिनेत गर्नु पर्दथ्यो । कहिले काहिँ उनी पनि बाहिर काम गरेर परिवारका लागी धेरथोर पैसा ल्याउने गर्थे । किशोरावस्थामा प्रवेश गरेपछि उनी सडक वालवालिकाहरुसँग बढि समय विताउन थाले । उनीहरुको संगतमा उनलाई स्वतन्त्रता मिलेको भान हुन्थ्यो । उनको जीवनको त्यही चरणमा नै उनी लागुपदार्थ दुव्र्यसनमा संलग्न भए । विभिन्न अपराधका लागी पटकपटक जेल समेत परे । उनलाई सँधै सहयोग गरिरहने उनकी दिदिले पनि विगतका उनको सुध्रिने वाचाहरु तोडेका कुराबाट आजित भएर एकदिन उनका अघि ढोका थुनिन् । त्यसपछि उनका सबै ढोका थुनिए । यसकिसिमको समस्यापूर्ण किशोरको जिन्दगी बाँचिसकेपछि उनलाई एकदिन महसुस भयो कि उनी एक तेश्रो लिङ्गी थिइन् । केहि तेश्रो लिङ्गीहरुको सुझाबमा उनले अनुहारमा सौन्दर्य प्रसाधनका सामग्रीहरु प्रयोग गरी हेरिन् । महिलाहरुको पोशाक लाउन थालिन् । उनलाई एकदमै हलुका महशुस भयो । अफूले गुमाएको परिचय फि...

1. Demonstrating my Learning: I come from Nepal. It's a poor country sandwiched in between two huge nations India and China.   I along with my friends used to think America as a dream country. A place where there is freedom and equal opportunity to all. A place where there are not so many problems like in the third world. When I had to choose subjects I would like to study during my abroad semester, I found this course. It seemed interesting to me. I didn't hesitate to sign in for the course. I have been writing about gender issues in our society. I simply used to hate feminist approach of seeing things. I thought they were biased and didn't see the issues from male's point of view. I aimed at learning how the situation of women improved in American society.   I felt that there must have been a better way to attain equality other than playing victim card all the time.
