तिम्ले मागे जुनतारा झार्न कहाँ सकौँला र ? दिउँसै तिम्रा लागी रात पार्न कहाँ सकाँैला र ? आफ्नो खुशी बाँडौला म तिम्लाई बढि पर्ने गरी माया लाग्दो गुहार तिम्रो टार्न कहाँ सकौँला र ? दियौ तिम्रो माया कतै अरुलाई भनेपनि अन्तबाट तिम्रो मन सार्न कहाँ सकौँला र ? लुकाउँला तिमीबाट याद आए कहिले भने बैगुनी छौ तर माया मार्न कहाँ सकौँला र ? माया गर्छु भनेको थेँ तिमीलाई जुनीभर सजिलै त्यो बचन फेरी हार्न कहाँ सकौँला र ? (English Translation) I might not be able to bring down moon or stars for you. Neither might I be able to turn a day into night. But I am sure that I will give you a bit more from my share of happiness. I am not so strong to  be able to stand your tears. In case you decide to give away your heart, I am afraid, I won't be able to bring it back. I would rather smile in front of you and hide my feelings for you. चोट पर्दा आँखा हैन, मन् नि रुन्छ बुझ्यौ होला मनमा कुरा गुम्साइ बस्नु, कस्तो हुन्छ बुझ्यौ होला सम्झना र यथार्थका, साथी दुबै एक नहुँदा आँशुले नै मनका सारा, याद धुन्छ बुझ्यौ होला भित्र पिरिम भएपनि, मुखमा ल्याउन सँधै गाह्रो अभिमानले कसो गरी, माया थुन्छ बुझ्यौ होला पीर व्यथा आफ्ना सबै, सुनिदिने कोइ न हुँदा बचन भन्दा मौनताले, चस्चस् छुन्छ बुझ्यौ होला सारा संसार निदरीले स्वप्न लोकमा हराउँदा आँखा मिच्दै तिम्रा कुरा, कस्ले सुन्छ ? बुझ्यौ होला मन चोर्ने निद्रा हर्ने, बाँच्ने एउटा आधार थप्ने रगतको भन्दा गाढा, नाता कुन् छ ? बुझ्यौ होला (Essence of the poem) To keep things in heart and not being able to speak out hurts as hell.
