Knowing God

It is a usual Sunday evening. Anu is there on the reading room having her tuition class with her teacher. She is about 9 years old. She has so many questions to be answered. Sometimes when she is fed up with her tuition teacher's monotonous working schedule, she puts her questions like spears targeted to kill some animal. Most of them generally don't have proper answers. Most of the time, she does this just to pass the time she is supposed to spend with her tuition teacher learning some bookish ideas. She thinks those ideas has nothing to do in her practical life. Today too she has some questions to be answered.
"Sir, did hen come first or the egg?" She asked as if she really wants the answer, but she knows from inside that this is just to screw up her teacher.
With shrewd eyebrows her tuition teacher stares her and tries to be humorous. "When I saw, the hen was laying the egg?" He chuckles afterwards.
With dissatisfaction in her eyes she says," Aaan ..haan, this is not the proper answer! Please, sir I am serious!" She pulls her teacher's hand to give some stress to the question she has put.
Trying to be serious her teacher says," Actually I too don't know the answer. Can you tell me?" He tries to end it up there.
"If I had known I would not have asked you. Sir, please tell me the answer na?" Anu insists. This time she seems stubborn to get her answer. This happens when she is put into this sorts of situation. And she never quits before getting satisfactory solution.
Well known to this trait of his student the tutor says," See, if you ask me to believe scientists then the egg must have come first as cell came in existence for the first time in this earth. And in that case eggs should have come first and with the time it must have gained the present shape of hen. What do you think?"
As her teacher referred scientist and was getting close to the answer she shrugged and says, " I don't believe in scientist. They always say false."
Her teacher thinks that this is the best to keep her quite by referring it to the other about whom she don't know very well. So he adds up a little more, "Charles Darwin was the scientist who told the world that life started from simple to complex. Means cell to living organism to the present form. In his one example he told that giraffe in present days had short neck as goats."
"hun?" Anu exclaims.
Teacher continues, "But when the grasses in ground finished they had to leap up to get their fodder so after hundreds of year their neck grew longer as it is seen now a days."
Anu with bewilderment in her face keeps listening to her teacher as if she was getting the right answer.
"Do you know that even scientists are not sure about how life came in existence? Because of this they have kept another option also..."
"See, you were asking me the question which even scientists don't know." Interrupting her teacher she brusts and tries to show anger.
Patting on her head, he tries to explain more, "I just wanted to know whether my girl was more wise than the scientist or not?" He smiles at her face.
Still having creases on her forehead she tells," How can I be wiser than them? I am just 9 yeas old. You tell me... I think you are wiser than me at least?" She mocks as if she has got the chance to pull her teacher's leg.
"Well in that case, I would like to say that the other option left by the scientist is creation by god!" He tries to end it there.
"Do you believe in god?" Another question which has nothing to do with the book that was in front of her. Realizing that they were wasting time the teacher tries to convince her for study.
"Look we haven't worked enough for today. So lets us finish something first and then we will talk about that." He tries to flip the pages of book.
Grabbing book from his hand and bringing more deep creases on her forehead, "You first complete the thing you started."
"I didn't start," tries to save him from her interrogation.
"Whatever... I won't read if you don't give me your answer" She sits folding her hands and gazing down to her feet.
I keep staring on her just to show that I am not happy with what she is demanding. "Actually ....God..." I pause as I see her throwing her eyes on book.
"No! No! You have to tell now. Complete what you were trying to say." She starts again.
"Let's make a deal here. I will keep telling mine and you keep doing your work. Is it ok then?" He tries to get her back in her work.
"Ok, but if you stop...I will also stop." She puts forward her condition.
The teacher tries to make up a story," I think we human being evolved in this earth as is described in sciences: from a cell. And we were not as we are now in our old days. Though we shared common ancestor but we became different due to the circumstances we were put into. Like the giraffe. People in old days had many unanswered questions....like you." She smiles to confirm her agreement.
"And it was easy to put some miraculous power behind everything they didn't understand: creation of human beings, rising of sun, setting of sun, the rainbow, the rain and much more. They named it as god and armoured it with all capabilities which humans can't even think of. God was all powerful. They thought that god loved them when they found these all things in their favour. And they took all the natural disasters as god's fury."
Anu keeps on listening with her hand paused and mouth wide open. The teacher notices that but ignores as he was in some mood to complete his story so that the same question will not rise again.
He continues after a small pause," Then they created different stories of the god they believed in. Some wise men wrote books on god setting examples for the people to follow the right path. Like whenever elders want to tell you to co-operate among brothers they say be like Ram and Laxman: the epical characters. It helped to much extent to maintain law and order in the society. So if you believe in god just to seek guideline for living a decent and meaningful life then its ok."
"Hmm..." Anu speaks in appreciation. "I don't believe in god as some people do: thinking god to be solely responsible for everything that happens around them." He makes his final statement.
"So there is no god for you." Anu exclaims with furrows on her forehead.
"I do. But for me my parents are god as they created me. So if you seek god then look at your parents as they are the one who created you, the one who care for you and the one who are always there to help you in trouble." The teacher finishes with a big sigh.
"Hmm..." Anu can't tell anything more. But there seems to be glow in her face as if she has met her god. She seems quite peaceful that time. Might be she was thinking if the teacher is right or wrong? But it is sure that she took her teacher's idea to be better than believing on miraculous god.
"And there is one more god whom you know..." Her teacher adds with a sly smile on his face.
"And who is that?" She asks without loosing a second.
"I ..." Her teacher tells bursting in smiles.
"Aan .....haan!" She starts smiling in return.
Trying to convince her, "I am not I the one who blesses you with all the knowledge of the world?" Her teacher wants her persuasion.
"My mummy also teaches me sometimes." She denies keeping him in god's line as if it is only for her parents.
"So when did I said that she is not god. I only added that I am also god." He waits for her appreciation.
"Ok..ok..." She still seems to be in confusion.
"So now you obey your gods...and do your work." He finally makes his point.
"Hehehee...you are very smart" She starts writing.
Just then the teacher realizes that his time was over so he lets her go after giving her some homework. While going away Anu seemed to be looking to her newly discovered god whom she had been fighting since many days. Might be she is thinking, "Can he be god?"
